I attempted to root for super user account so I'm not even sure if cyanogen mod supports it but it didn't work for me cause Oden wouldn't recognize my tab s2 in download mode. Also doesn't another custom rom or os require an unlocked bootloader for it. Are you required to root in order to unlock the bootloader.
